Jason Dixon is an Irish composer currently based in Norwich, England, where he is working on a PhD in Composition with Simon Waters at the University of East Anglia.
He previously studied at Queen's University Belfast, specialising in composition with Professor Michael Alcorn and Professor Piers Hellawell. He has also been employed as a Studio Assistant at the School of Music and Sonic Arts at Queen's, mixing technical duties with teaching on the undergraduate music technology degree.
Jason is a keen improviser, circuit-bender and SuperCollider enthusiast. He performs regularly as a solo artist and as JDTJDJ (with Tom Davis), but has also been known to perform as primitiveFailed (with Henry Vega) and with the Belfast Legion for Improvised Sights and Sounds (BLISS). He has a weird obsession with mutants.
